BEBE SPORT
Manny Mashouf founded a company for women's clothing in 1976 in San Francisco. Initially starting as Babe, Inc., he named the company Bebe, inspired by a passage in Shakespeare's Hamlet. Despite the women's apparel industry seeing an enormous boost in popularity, Bebe was able to find its footing and appeal to the market. Its products were considered fresh and high-quality and were very much in demand throughout the remainder of the 20th century.
