Blaupunkt started with a blue dot. The initial beginnings of the company were from a company named Ideal. They dealt with the newly popular radio products. The customers soon started to ask for the Bluepoint, which was used as a mark of quality. The name then changed from Ideal to Bluepunkt, which was german for Bluepoint. They have been dabbling in the world of radio ever since, keeping up with the changing time and needs of the users.
