Josef Hammerle had set the ball rolling in 1928 by selling cameras, gramophones, and accompanying accessories. He included bicycles in his product line a few years later and relocated. Over time, the business became known for manufacturing bicycles. The brand soon came to be known for its quality and dedication and became a household name in Germany. Today, it has become one of the global icons of the bicycling industry.
