Smith Worthington
One of Hartford's most remarkable and little-known relics is The Smith-Worthington Saddlery Co., a tenacious, living enterprise. Curtis Hanks, Clinton's son, is the owner and CEO of Smith-Worthington. The business prospered through selling saddles. They produced exquisite English-style saddles and other equestrian gear for cavalries and law enforcement agencies. It made harnesses for horses used for a draught. Most of the company's sales are still made to horse-loving families and people who value what many consider the best horse-riding gear available.
